PROJECT WORK IN GEOGRPAHY: DIGITAL LITERACY: The children of 5th and 6th class created their own holiday brochures after researching various countries. We are looking forward to travelling to some of these incredible destinations in the future!
OUR REMEMBRANCE TREE: For our assembly this week we had a small service through Zoom to remember those who have passed away. We fondly remembered them all by hanging our leaves on the Remembrance Tree.
LITERACY: Peer reading/ buddy reading in 5th and 6th class: We have been focusing on our reading fluency and using expression in our voices. We have been summarising the stories for the rest of the class.
ART IN 3RD AND 4TH CLASS: We have been experimenting with finger painting. We have also created beautiful works of art using Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory as a stimulus.
IN NOVEMBER WE REMEMBER THOSE WHO HAVE GONE TO HEAVEN. WE REMEMBER THEM FONDLY IN OUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS AND ARE REMINDED THAT THEY ARE ALWAYS WITH US.
MUSIC: Music every Friday in the ventilated church sitting in our pods. We are playing a variety of instruments this year including tin-whistle, guitar, violin and accordion. Lovely to hear the beautiful music from everyone!
ART: FABRIC AND FIBRE: We used a variety of fabrics and recycled materials to create "Under the Sea" works of art.
Halloween Assembly 2020: Our principal was replaced by a witch for our Halloween assembly. We listened to spooky, descriptive acrostic poetry from some classes!
REPORT WRITING: Well done to Jamie Tierney who wrote this incredible, informative report on ants. Such a huge amount of research and effort went into it. Great presentation of interesting facts!
