CHESS CLUB: Our 5th and 6th class introduced "The Knight" to 1st and 2nd class today. We had loads of fun revising how to move the pawn and capturing pieces! Can't wait until next week!
We received a beautiful gift of a height chart from our 2022 6th class parents today. A beautiful wooden chart that will be fixed to the wall. It is a wonderful symbol of the growth that takes place in the body, mind and heart over their 8 years here.
Collaborative Learning: Chess Tutorial: The 5th and 6th class pupils shared their chess knowledge with 1st and 2nd class this week!
The pupils of 5th and 6th introduced "The Pawn" to 1st and 2nd class. They explained how the pawn moves, how it captures and even showed them the coordinates on the board! We all worked on our skills of respect, eye-contact, listening, following instructions, turn-taking, accepting defeat, forward planning and patience. We can't wait for next week! :)
