We are delighted to announce that we were awarded the SFI Curious Gold Award today for our STEM work this year in the areas of science, technology, engineering, maths and project work. Well done to all our pupils and teachers for their hard work and participation. FEEDBACK FROM OUR LOG OF EVIDENCE:
Congratulations to everyone at Garrafrauns Central N.S. on achieving the SFI Curious Minds Gold Award 2023. Your submission clearly shows the amazing work you have done throughout this year in STEM. It was great to see your learners in different classes engaged in a wide range of exciting activities and projects. We really enjoyed seeing the amazing STEM projects completed by your learners: particularly designing and building bridges from recycled materials, and the incredible solar system projects by 5th and 6th class. Your work on maths during the year was really impressive. Its was read on your school blog about your learners having fun with maths challenges, and seeing the excellent robots built during Maths Week. Well done to all the learners and teachers on achieving your Gold Award!  READ AND REFLECT We started our Book Talk reading groups in 5th and 6th class. Each group are reading a different novel. We are developing our reading fluency and critical literacy by discussing the book with our group. Here are the novels we are reading this week:
