All of 5th & 6th class took part in the Bleep Test with many children noticing a rise in fitness levels. Well done to both our boy's and girl's teams in the Mini-7 football tournaments. Our girl's team lost out to Kilkerrin, eventual winners, in the semi-final while the boys narrowly lost out to Glinsk in a closely contested final. Both teams put up some big scorelines in getting that far. The girl's team beat Glenamaddy on a scoreline of 7-2 to no score while the boys drew with Gotnaliam/Ballinlass 3 goals a piece to send us into the final. Some fantastic performances throughout with everyone enjoying both days. A great day was had by all in Shiven for the FAI Schools Qualifiers. Everyone enjoyed the day with 3 teams competing in the qualifiers. In association with the GAA, 'Get Smart' are making exciting collaboration videos for Irish schools. The video will involve students, through a variety of sports, passing a ball from county to county all over the country. It is hoped that this video will be used by the GAA to launch of National Go Games Week in Croke Park at the end of March. This is our entry into the initiative.
