We were so excited to hear from Darren McGinty’s family that Darren took part in a unique mascot experience on Thursday 14th November for the Ireland v New Zealand match in the Aviva Stadium. His whole family travelled, arrived there early and Darren and his dad were brought down to one of the dressing rooms to get ready to walk out onto the pitch with the players. There was great excitement and they really had an enjoyable night making memories that will last a lifetime. Each mascot was provided with a kit which they were allowed to keep afterwards. And best of all Ireland won 3-1. Darren was delighted to see himself on the RTE player the next day. He was very lucky to get picked to experience the atmosphere of the stadium on a match night. Everyone in Garrafrauns N.S. are so delighted for Darren and his family and feel proud that a Garrafrauns pupil represented himself and his family so well on such a big stage. Well done Darren!! |
