GREEN SCHOOLS/ STEM: Our poly-tunnel is coming on nicely thanks to our daily watering team from the Green Schools committee. Thank you to members of our community for helping us with it this year. We have learned so much!

BIN SURVEY: Our Green Schools committee collected all the rubbish from each classroom this week and we counted the amount of bags we have. Our aim is to reduce the amount of waste in school by 20%.

NOVEL READING GROUPS: We are participating in novel reading groups in 5th and 6th this term. We are enjoying the book-talk sessions and captivating storylines!

Digital Literacy: We are typing up our Write A book stories on the laptops this month in 5th and 6th class.

PAINTING: The Christmas cheer has arrived in Garrafrauns NS. We are very busy painting our classroom windows!

SPHE: Being Well: We are going to be checking in with ourselves each morning to identify the thoughts we are having. We will then make the choice to turn ay red thoughts into green! Let's be positive!!

PERSUASIVE WRITING: We have been editing and redrafting our student council manifestos this week!

Shape and Space group challenges as part of maths week: We have been interacting and collaborating with our group and using mathematical language to explore the properties and analyse 2D and 3D shapes. We are learning in a fun and engaging way!

PMC: Using our chess demonstration board to introduce co-ordinates in the senior classes.

What does good homework look like? Well done to Amy and Matthew from 5th and 6th for winning "Homework of the Week"!

PMC: MATHS CHALLENGE: Break the Code- We worked in groups to break the multiplication code in 5th and 6th
