Squid Dissection: 5th and 6th class; STEM. We would like to thank Padraic who came out from Galway Atlantiquaria and shared his expertise in dissecting a squid. Things got fishy!! We learned all about the anatomy of the squid.
SHOWCASING OUR AQUARIUM: 5th and 6th class gave a presentation to the junior classes and explained interesting facts about the marine life to them. STEM
ZONES OF REGULATION: 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th class. We are becoming aware of our feelings, how to regulate our emotions and identifying what zone we are in. Here we are playing Bingo in our Zones of Regulation session.
STEM: An Aquarium arrived today in 5th and 6th class. We have hermit crabs, a butter fish, a cushion star, a prawn and a sea anemone.
STEM: The Science of Making Playdough. We learned about mixtures and solutions in our science experiment today.
FOOD PYRAMIDS: the children in 5th and 6th class were learning about healthy eating and nutrition. They created their own food pyramids. STEM
The children have been having great fun during their playtime. They have been playing in the Home Corner and working on the theme of Houses and Homes in other stations.
Junior and Senior Infants really enjoyed their first gymnastics lesson.
