We have been working in smaller groups for maths this term and have been focusing on word problems. We have been using mathematical language, investigating and exploring ways to solve problems, comparing strategies and approaches and expressing our ideas and sharing our thinking with the rest of our peers.
What an amazing opportunity for 5th and 6th class this week! We learned about cycle safety. how to put on a helmet correctly, rules of the road and practised our cycling skills of "look, signal, look" around the school yard.
SOME GOALS AND TARGETS FOR THIS TERM:

Check out our STEM page to see what we have been doing in Science, technology, engineering and maths so far this year! We launched our rockets today as part of our October STEM project.
We will be sending our letters to another school at the end of the month. We have put a lot of effort and time into our letter writing, editing and redrafting. We will then receive letters from another school to read! This is motivating us to improve our handwriting and spelling! |
