Write A Book 2025: We swapped our narrative stories with Glenamaddy NS. We are very excited to read the Poetry Booklets that they sent to us!

We voted for our favourite book of poetry and sent our favourite book to the Galway Education Centre to be recommended as the merit book. We gave positive and constructive feedback to each young author on a post-it note. Well done on a great effort!

Green Schools: Our Green Schools committee helped our junior classes to plant seeds in the poly tunnel today. STEM

Active Schools: Playground Leaders: Our playground leaders set up games for each class today. Well done to all involved!

Friendship Bench: Tuam Men Shed designed and handcrafted small benches for our school. They were delivered today to a very excited infant class! These will be our Friendship Benches where children can sit and have a chat.

TUAM HERALD:We were featured in an article in the Tuam Herald this month about the Ficheall Chess Tournament held in the Ard Rí.

GREEN SCHOOLS:Our Green Schools committee completed a tally of the various ways our pupils travelled to school today. Great to see so many walking and cycling!

ACTIVE SCHOOL HOMEWORK: We are starting our Active Schools homework on Monday.

Green Schools Litter Pick Up: Look at all the litter we collected from around the school grounds on Friday!

Traditional music in the junior classes: We were working on playing the scale today. These pupils will be progressing into our school trad band in a few years!

WORLD BOOK DAY 2025: Well done to our pupils who made such a huge effort for Worl Book Day today. What creative costumes! We did a whole school cat walk in the yard and participated in book talk sessions about our favourite books.

SSE: We have been setting our personal targets for the month ahead in 5th and 6th class. These will be displayed on our traffic light. We have moved targets we successfully reached into our self-assessment folders. Be an intrinsic learner!!!
