 We are fostering ownership and agency over the strategies we use to learn our weekly spellings. We hvae been given the choice to use a variety of strategies to help us to reinforce our new vocabulary. We are striving to become intrinsic learners and to work to the best of our abilities! In line with the new Primary Curriculum Framework we are integrating chess into our classrooms as part of maths with the aim of enhancing mathematical ability, cognitive function and problem-solving skills. There are many benefits to chess including fostering critical thinking, logic, pattern recognition and geometric understanding while boosting memory, patience and resilience. |
